Jennifer Yun, RMT

Jennifer is a WCCMT graduate of 2018 and was chosen by her peers and instructors to be awarded the Joe Koscak Leadership Award for exemplifying integrity, passion, perseverance, a passionate heart and a caring soul. With a combination of a love for helping others, years practicing both bodybuilding and powerlifting and first-hand experience in rehabilitating her own body, becoming an RMT was a clear choice for her. Jennifer believes each patient is unique and enjoys creating catered treatment plans to help speed up recovery from acute and chronic injuries or conditions, optimize sports and activity performance, relieve stress, and maintain good health. She has been fortunate enough to be placed in various outreaches such as at BC Women’s Hospital, working with the UBC Varsity Team, Canuck Place Hospice, WCCMT’s own Pre/Post-Natal clinic, Multiple Sclerosis In-Reach, George Pearson residential care facility and has volunteered in various events such as the MS Bike Tour and the Ryan Donaldson Memorial Hockey Tournament. Jennifer strives to help patients reach their goals with a combination of postural awareness, pain/stress management and easy to use therapeutic exercise, especially for those with a busy lifestyle. Her practice focuses on moderate to deep pressure Swedish massage combined with trigger point release, joint mobilizations, neuromuscular techniques, and myofascial release to provide a therapeutic yet relaxing massage catered to each individual’s needs, concerns, or preferences. In Jennifer’s free time, she enjoys powerlifting, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.
